Synergy's cross-functional team combines deep finance, technical, and operating capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset, embodying the guiding principle of "more than the sum of its parts". The team members have been responsible for assets producing 125 million tons per year of steel, 100 million tons of various types of mined products, and 4GW of power, and other large operations Upstream and Downstream Energy, Cement and Infrastructure. On the investment side, Synergy's principals have successfully executed over $100 billion worth of M&A and capital markets transactions in the natural resources space. Many of our key team members have been working together for over 20 years.
Sudhir Maheshwari
Founder & Managing Partner
Sudhir founded Synergy in 2015. Prior to that, he was a leading and integral part in the creation of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company. He served on the Group Management Board and acted as the Alternate Chairman of the Corporate Finance and Tax Committee leading Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Global tax, etc. He is credited with over US$ 100 billion of M&A and divestitures and over US$ 100 billion of diverse financing transactions. His professional career has exposed him to over 100 countries.
He also managed Mittal Investments in oil and gas, cement and infrastructure where he structured equity investments of US$ 1.5 billion over US$ 8 billion assets under management.
Davinder K. Chugh

Prior to joining Synergy in 2016, Davinder had a successful career at ArcelorMittal spanning 20 years including 10 years at the Group Management Board. He had previously spent 20 years at Steel Authority of India Limited. A highly regarded techno-commercial expert, his expertise and experience includes Operations and Operational strategy, Shared Services and commercial negotiation. He is uniquely placed to advise and support businesses in emerging out of crisis and assuming market leadership.

AP Choudhary is a seasoned and highly experienced executive with nearly 40 years of both operational and management experience within the steel, mining and engineering industry gained in India, Thailand and through extensive global travels on behalf of public sector undertakings of Government of India.
Gonzalo Waldman
Partner
Gonzalo has 20 years of global finance experience in investment banking, private equity and Fortune 50 companies gained through his engagements at UBS in New York (metals and mining and natural resources), a Private Equity fund in Shanghai and Pepsico in Dubai. He has structured and executed M&A, JVs and capital market transactions totalling over US$ 100 billion, in both developed and emerging markets.
