Atul Gupta

Atul Gupta is a seasoned corporate finance professional with 38 years of diverse experience across industry and investment management. At Synergy Capital, he oversees the entire investment lifecycle - from deal sourcing and execution to exits - and has led multiple investments and divestments. His expertise spans financial and investment analysis, risk management, SOX and internal controls, corporate governance, compliance, and business process improvement.

His professional background spans a wide array of industries, including steel and mining, textiles, sugar, apparel, telecom, and renewable energy, before transitioning to private equity in 2015. Recognized as a senior business-focused finance executive, Atul has a proven track record of developing and implementing management strategies, leading change initiatives, and providing effective assurance to senior leadership and boards in global settings.

Atul is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant from India, having graduated in Commerce. He has lived and worked in India, CIS, Europe, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and has been based in Dubai for the last eight years. Among his notable achievements, Atul passed all groups of the CA and ICWA examinations in his first attempt, simultaneously completing both qualifications within three years. He was awarded the Best Executive Award at SAIL in the initial years of his career.

Outside of work, Atul is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys playing squash, table tennis, and padel. He also holds an NCC certificate in the Air Wing, an elite training program reflecting discipline, leadership, and a passion for aviation.
