Mayank Misra

Mayank Misra has over 20 years of global experience in private equity, debt, and special situations investments. He spent more than 15 years two decades with General Electric / GE Capital in the US, Europe, and Asia, where he was instrumental in executing direct private equity investments totaling $700 million and co-managing a private equity portfolio valued at $1.6 billion.

In his last role at GE, Mayank served as a Director with the global M&A team, working on several critical transactions for GE Capital in Asia valued at $600 million. This included the divestiture of GE’s stake in one of India’s largest credit card issuers, a portfolio of corporate aircraft in Hong Kong, and a joint venture with Hyundai in Seoul.

Mayank’s transaction experience spans energy, industrials, shipping, financial services, technology, power, renewables and healthcare. He developed investment theses for several sectors, sourced proprietary deals, led due diligence and investment committee processes, and actively managed investments through to profitable exits. Mayank has been based in New York and Mumbai.

Prior to GE Private Equity, Mayank was part of GE Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), GE’s top leadership development program, where he worked with senior leadership on key projects and audited industrial and financial services businesses in London, Montreal, Madrid, and Lisbon.Mayank is a Sloan Fellows (MS in Management) from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Outside of his professional life, Mayank is passionate about motorcycling and photography.
