Deepak Dalvi

Deepak Dalvi is a Partner at Synergy Capital, bringing more than 25 years of global leadership experience across industrial, infrastructure and consumer businesses. At Synergy, he works across private equity and private credit investments and partners with portfolio companies to support strategic growth.

Prior to joining Synergy, Deepak was Managing Director of Vopak India Private Limited, where he led the company’s growth strategy and held full profit-and-loss responsibility. During his tenure, the business expanded from a single site in 2015 to 21 locations, while its workforce grew from approximately 120 to 4,500 employees. The company was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India in 2025.

Earlier in his career, Deepak held senior roles at Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and The Coca-Cola Company. His experience includes cross-border M&A, market entry, brand building and commercial strategy across Asia, Europe and the Americas. At Unilever, he led the global tea and coffee business.

Deepak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from V.J.T.I., Mumbai, and an MBA in Finance from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila. He has completed executive education at Harvard Business School and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and participated in the Freeman Scholar Exchange Programme at Columbia Business School in New York.

Outside of work, Deepak is an enthusiastic sportsman and a frequent speaker at international conferences on energy, energy transition and import-export logistics.
