Synergy Capital Provides US100M Credit to Fund Sigma Lithium's Next Phase of Growth

5 Dec 2022

Synergy Capital anchored Sigma’s private placement in February 2021 to fund Sigma’s Phase 1 construction. We are now extremely pleased to consolidate our multi-year partnership through a US$100 million financing of Sigma’s potential tripling of production, announced on December 4th, 2022 (link: https://bit.ly/3XTu9Do). The expansion has the potential to catapult the company to one of the four largest lithium producers globally, with a highly advantaged cost position and growth potential.

Last month, Synergy Capital shared its perspectives as an institutional investor at the “Environmental and Social Sustainability in Electric Vehicles’ Battery Metals” workshop at the World Climate Summit held during COP27. Please follow this link: https://bit.ly/3H95IMo, for a description of our Sigma Lithium investment thesis. The new technical report that triples Sigma’s NPV to US$ 15 bn validates Synergy Capital’s business model focused on sectors benefitting from decarbonization and the localization of critical supply chains.

Synergy Capital has an excellent track record of working alongside strong management teams through our expert team of operating partners. We have enabled many of our investee companies to unlock their intrinsic value by providing additional capital during our holding period through highly-tailored structures.

Synergy Capital is uniquely positioned to become your partner of choice, and we look forward to finding opportunities to work with you.
