Atul Gupta

Finance & Operations

Atul leads the Finance & Operations function at Synergy Capital. He brings a wealth of experience extending across various industries, including steel and mining, textiles, sugar, apparel, telecom, and renewable energy, before moving to Private Equity in early 2015. In his global career as CFO or Financial Director, Atul has built a proven track record of developing and implementing management strategies, leading change management, and providing effective assurance to senior leadership and boards in global settings.

Gonzalo Waldman

Investments and Business Development, ESG Officer

Gonzalo spearheads Synergy Capital’s research-driven thematic investment strategies, engagement with existing and new investors, and the incorporation of high ESG standards across the fund’s lifecycle. Gonzalo has had a global career in investment banking, private equity, and corporate functions at leading firms in New York, Shanghai, and Dubai, during which he amassed over $100 billion of transaction experience.

Hywel Phillip

General Counsel

Hywel is the General Counsel for Synergy Capital, providing legal structuring and advice to all business areas of the Fund and its investment companies. His primary responsibilities include corporate transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory issues. Hywel was previously an equity partner in the corporate group of international law firm Reed Smith. He has 25 years of experience in M&A, financing, and litigation.
